I have read The Lighting Thief. Rick has brought a fantastic series to many people around the world. Percy is our average student until he sees that he is the son of Poseidon. The son of Poseidon must find the Lighting Thief and bring back the Master Bolt to Zeus before a war of the gods crumble time and space. Will Percy succeed or will he fall into Kronos' wrath. This is one of the books I recommend.
